NRL Draw to be released tomorrow....

Yes, we all get to see who we're facing on what day tomorrow. We also get to see where our 2 byes fall and which teams we only have to play once.

By my calculations, every team will play each other once then they will play all but 4 teams again. Remembering that there is 26 rounds with 2 byes.

Since we are going to find out tomorrow, why not list which teams you only have to play once. Then we all get to see how much the NRL like your team.

Here are the teams & placesI hope the Warriors don't have to play:
  1. Newcastle @ Marathon
  2. Parramatta @ Parra
  3. Brisbane @ ANZ
  4. Wests Tigers @ Campbell Town
Hope the draw goes well for your teams, Have a Merry Xmas & a sensational New Year.

I agree R990204. Bloody Dragons have been our achilles heel ever since they merged with the mighty Raiders winning just the one game. We were there first ever victim as the new club in a heartbreaker at Bruce. Another one to piss me off is the Roosters at the sfs. I can't remember the last time we won a game there. Brisbane, regardless of the side they put on the paddock never fail to scare me as we always give them a run or manage to knock them off. They have never swept us twice in a season.

NRL releases schedule
Oct 04, 2001
The National Rugby League has released the 2002 season schedule to each of
the 15 clubs, and for the first time the NRL Grand Final will be played in
October.
The NRL grand Final will be played on October 6 to coincide with the Labour
Day Holiday weekend, instead of at the end of September.
The 26 round competition means each side will play 12 home, 12 away matches
and receive two byes, with clubs playing each other once and then playing
the remaining 10 games of the season through a pools system based on this
year's standings.
The pools are arranged as follows:
Pool A: Newcastle Knights, the Bulldogs, Sydney Roosters, Wests Tigers,
North Queensland.
Pool B: Parramatta, St George Illawarra, NZ Warriors, Canberra Raiders,
Penrith Panthers.
Pool C: the Sharks, Brisbane Broncos, Melbourne Storm, Northern Eagles,
South Sydney.
In the new 15 team system, teams will not play against their own pool twice,
instead playing teams from the opposite pools over the final ten weeks of
the season.
The National Rugby League season will commence with the Country Carnival on
March the first, and Round One will kick off on Friday March 15.

Geez Brisbane certainly got lucky with their pool having the Rabbitohs and Eagles there. The Storm and Sharks at times have bogey teams at times for the Broncos poor season 2001 has saved them from being in Group A.

You only play the teams in your pool once, you play every other team twice.
Cheers Retread

The Raiders have 7 of their first 10 games away from home, which is a bit of a joke.

Just looking at the draw, Wastes wont win a game until round 7!
NQ are in a pretty good pool seeing as they only have to play Newcastle Knights, the Bulldogs, Sydney Roosters once, though from memory they beat Wastes both times last year so that is the only disadvantage....

Hooray!!!!

My wish came true, Warriors vs Parramatta @ Ericsson.

I see the Bulldogs will most certainly be playing in Wellington in R6 against the Warriors. On the weekend of 19-21 April.

First time for everything ElDuke, and besides, Saints have an excellent record against Parra since 1947.

Is that right?... we only play each other once next year?
