NRL Grand Final Pre game entertainment

Theres been talk this week about whos gonna be in the pre game entertainment on Grand Final night, I havent heard much of it.

Does anyone know anything about it, whose gonna be in the pre game entertainment?

now they rocked at the State of Origin, you need someone with attitude to get us pumped up before a big game. Meatloaf is usless and too soft for this sort of event.

Bat out of hell is the worst song ever, and why waste your money on someone like meatloaf. I hope someone pulls the plug on Meatloaf like Billy Idol last year.

I doubt they would have the Gurus now that Meatloaf is playing. Honestly whose the idiot that came up with that idea.

In reality, there is only one entertainer to get for the GF. OZZY OSBOURNE! I'd love to see him bite the head off Gordon Tallis!

eg have alll the jerseys of the clubs around the ground etc

have all the team songs

Metallica being at BDO is old news.

I read somewhere Powderfinger or Silverchair were going to be there, but I doubt that. I think Powderfingers tour starts around the same time as the GF in Europe and who knows about Silverchair? Robbie won't be in the country until December.

Why the hell do we want another bloody pop princess from America, sheesh. "Oooo Australia, lets mime along to a sugary sweet song, that will get you pumped for the big game!" Hoodoo Gurus should be a given really since they wrote the theme song. And Meatloaf? Well it's better than the Idol chick.

I'd luv to see Grinspoon there!

Meatloaf! :roll: I mean really. It astounds me how out of touch with the times the NRL marketing team really are. Ok, 'Bat Out of Hell' is a classic song but jeez, it's so not appropriate and yesterday, or actually, yesterdecade. The Guru's deserve to be there because they wrote the 'Thats My Team' song and they're just a great Oz rock band. Grinspoon were kick arse at SOO and they should get them back. Get more Oz talent up there instead of dragging out washed up yanks and poms who are wel and truely passed their prime. Powderfinger would be bloody awesome too. Surely we can do better than Meatloaf & some pop star from a bloody TV show no one gives a rats about! :twisted:

Umm the Eighties finished about 15 years ago. If you want to attract new fans to the game then geriatric music is hardly going to achieve that goal. Why can't they get a decent modern band.

Who's Powder Finger or Grinspoon???......if i where watching the game in England i'd say" who the f@#$ are they"....that's why we need a band that appeals all over the world....not just in Australia!!

ACDC would be more appropriate choice for an Oz band who has world wide appeal!!
