NRL Rd 10 2021 - General Non-Warriors Thread

What’d they both end up in bin for?

NRL crackdown on all head contact this weekend which the bunker is running

Any aggressive contact with the head is a sin bin, Gamble went for jumping to get Garrick in the chin and Riki a headbutt

Were 4 binnings in the first game

Is Curren playing for us this weekend? Hes an obvious liability this weekend with the refs being given the hard word. I understand the reason for the crackdown but players are going to take a little while to adjust. This weekend could be a disaster for a lot of teams.

This refereeing crackdown is an absolute farce, adds nothing to the spectacle at all, the bunker should not be involved in refereeing general play

Going to be plenty to talk about over this weekend

I’d rather hammer them fairly and squarely, not with 13 on 11 when only 1 of them was warranted
Sadly it’s a tradition for the NRL to shit the bed officiating wise at some point, then back to business as usual

As always the crackdown will be temporary though

Yeah, I was going to say 'your season has roared back to life' but then I read about the binnings and the crackdowns. It seems wrong, they interfered with the natural order of things on the field.

Nice to see Brisbane suffer for it though!

And we know the Warriors are going to suffer, to make up for a team like Brisbane suffering!

Yeah I’m glad we had already put them to bed before those calls, was going to be a flogging either way

Walters and Barrett really are turning those joints around... seriously, you'd expect some consistent effort from the players, both clubs have regressed with the vaunted appointments... last year's Dogs were woeful, but Pay had them putting in most weeks

The treatment of Kyle Flanagan by Barrett and the Dogs was absolutely appalling and mentally now the poor kid is probably shot

Compare that to Saab who spoke about being called into Haslers office after round 4 for a chat and he copped a dressing down but done in a way that stuck by him and look at the results now

Watching a Kayo mini Manlys try 8min out from halftime looked to be another obstruction play they had been pulling back when runner hits a defense player (no tackle action by defender) and ball goes out back and they can not slide out, so outside man had to come in.

These ok now?

Look forward to seeing half the Storm forwards in the bin if Ricky "headbutt" the new standard.

We/media had issues with Panthers post try celebrations?
Manlys celebration when 13 on 11 seemed disrespectful with pathetic sin bins.
Turbo 2nd try look for 2-3m Forward pass.

We are in deep deep deep shit with this ref standard. Probably looking at 4 in the bin for us at some stage during the game!

Just need Joey John's and Gus blowing up about it for a few weeks and Roosters and Storm to slip down the table first.

It was just a poor read from the defender moving into the attacker, the defender didn’t blow up about it at all coz he knew he cocked up
