Phew, the magic trick's done, and no lucky Rabbits were pulled out of the hat, but will they get lucky this week, against the Trent Barrett-coached Eels? It's fascinating! Before all that though, this is the Indigenous Round and a chance for every club to roll out another jersey.
Tonight, it's Canterbury hosting St George. I don't tip and this is the reason why, it would be like tossing a coin, wouldn't it?
Friday, two desperados duel in Townsville. It's the Cowboys v Wests. The stakes are high. Then it's on to Brookie, and the magic - the bad blood - never ends when the Storm come to town. Friday nights don't get any better.
Saturday, Sticky's Raiders take on Robbo's Chooks in Canberra. Here's two sides just in the eight but the Roosters seem to have some real momentum now, whilst Canberra are still, well, Canberra. That is, inconsistent and full of errors, but capable of snatching a win.
Sharks v Panthers. No wonder Ivan was so surly about losing to the Warriors reserve graders last week! Because this week is tough, real tough. If Cronulla win then it could be real power shift in the NRL rankings. Penrith won't lose their number one tag easily though. It'll make for a great contest, hopefully.
Rabbitohs v Eels, aforementioned in the introduction, and a nice way to end another NRL Saturday.
Sunday, Brisbane will think they're better than the GC (they always have) which causes resentment in Titans country. This is like the little bro in the backyard, he'll go extra hard to prove himself, and the Titans have gotten just that little bit bigger lately. So look out bully-boy, no need for mum on this occasion.
We finish with Redcliffe heading to Mt Smart. Both sides will fancy themselves but the Warriors will gladly hand the Dolphins the favourites' tag, that's a curse neither side wants on this occasion. Heaps of Māori culture on show beforehand, it doesn't get much better in regular season footy.
