We're a fifth of the way into the regular season! Time flies, and injuries are a fact of the game, but they put the heebie-jeebies up club supporters.

Manly should be OK without Tom T, who's out for a month or so. Tonight, it's wet in NSW again and the faithful will be out in Newcastle to see the Knights get back to winning. It's 25 years since that memorable ARL GF win over the same opponent.

Friday, it's the Warriors against their old coach, who thought his struggles at the Cowboys were over. The big one has 'glamour', the Broncos host the Roosters. With Brisbane pretty hopeless that fixture isn't quite so A-list these days.

Saturday, Canberra v Storm and Souths v St George. Gee Sticky's Raiders are looking average, as are the Dragons. Which coach has dished out the biggest blast from last week? That might be the key to an upset. The Titans close out the party facing an Eels side who might think they're 'April Premiers' (although their fans don't think that).

Sunday, the Sharks should add to Madge's misery and what did the Bulldogs do so wrong to face Penrith, after playing the Storm last week? They don't need that.

Enjoy.

Blair, I would just like to say that I much prefer your weekly pre-match overviews to Matt Nable's promos on Fox Sports. Thank you.

Gutted to lose Koula tonight as well, he has been groomed as backup fullback all off season and is very promising. Don’t like hearing that’s it’s wet Blair, we are woeful in the rain

Frustrating, why is it 6 again when we are at the attacking end and penalties when they are attacking, so confusing to watch

Knights really unlucky with injury here. Both teams are playing reasonably well in the conditions, beautiful play by DCE for the 2nd try, lots of chat about him not being worthy of the new contract, I’ll take him every day of the week

I thought Johnson had the worst play of the season kicking 10m out from his line for the winger in the Warriors opening game, but DCE has beaten him trying it in the wet with the possession flow against and to a guy who has barely caught a ball all night

Warriors fans should be excited about Walker, provided they keep him in this role rather than in the centre’s

olakau’atu is a good story, used to drive his mates to Manly training and sit in the car, they invited him to have a run one day instead of sitting in the car and the rest is history

30-6, Manly. Final.

But the game was reasonably competitive up until about the 70th minute mark.

In this weather there'd be no way Manly would be driving home tonight! Atrocious conditions, everyone's sick to death of the wet. It's gone on too long.

Ponga laughing in the press conference hasn’t gone down well with Knights fans
He was laughing at the journos for lunch date with Wayne questions, contract questions and then they walked out when asked if each loss makes it harder to stay, when he said he would be giving and answer even tho they keep asking and he had people working on it.

But he not playing to his price tag at the moment.

There'd be nothing worse for club morale than having some 'should I stay or should I go?' big shot sucking up oxygen.

Oats blows an ankle celebrating hatrick try!
Reynold blows the conversion to be 4 points behind when 2 point field goal a possibility for him.
Then penalty 30m out with 3 sec left, still 4 behind.
Then offside called on Roosters 10m out.
That missed conversion HUGE.

The real quality was over at Redcliffe 😊

CNK was barely a road bump in the way of Grant’s try for the Storm. That’s a situation that separates the best fullbacks from the rest. RTS would have stopped that one! Walsh probably would have done no better than CNK.

Things are getting interesting at Robina.

20-10, Eels with 20 mins to go. Junior Paulo in the bin for half of that.
