About a fifth of the season done and will we see the first coach gone by Monday? Tonight, a Sydney blockbuster, Roosters v Eels. We thought Parra would go 0/5 to start the season but last week they stuck it right up us!

Tomorrow, I'll be at the 4 Pines Brewery in Brookvale watching a pretty good game, the tense Raiders v Panthers. I wish Manly was playing though, as 4 Pines is their sponsor. The main game, Souths v Storm, is a tight one to pick. Surely Melbourne will sort out their awful error rate?

Saturday, all cracking early-season league. Manly host Newcastle, there's always history there, 1997, Knights fans still bring banners and sing songs and such. Can St George save Griffin v Dolphins? Do they want to? The poor Tigers are away to hot Brisbane. I'm worried about Wests, the League needs 'em.

Sunday, Sharks v Warriors in a sell-out. Do they see a repeat of the 11-man humiliation of last year? They might be disappointed, as tnis looks to be a tougher Warriors team. We close with the Bulldogs v Cowboys, two current middlers wanting more.

Enjoy.

Did I miss something with Eels first sin bin? Did they get multiple warnings? Yeah not onside but didn't affect tackle on ball player but slowed up a support player.
Normally penalty at worse. So just a Roosters thing?
2nd sin bin more consistent with head shots, but didn't leave ground.

I hope they go on with that sort of sin binning, if he wasn’t there in an illegal position and deliberately getting involved, the Roosters score the try comfortably

When the Roosters put a few more weeks polish on this attack they are going to be very hard to deal with, could have easily already had 40+ tonight if Manu and Tedesco were out there

Bunker with 1 look on a ball coming out for Roosters, 50/50 look to me, hand coming out around ball, but stripping action? Another Roosters special?
Edit: Next replay showed better more stripping like action.

I agree. Penisini knew he was never onside but deliberately went about spoiling the play. That's 10 in the bin every time, to me.

Eels back to being the Eels atm
1/5 to start the season. They need three wins in a row, and soon, in order to keep up with the pack.

If not, a 2009-like run might be their only hope.

Unlike Manly and Canterbury fans I don't hate Parra!
