Didn’t they accept them but it then turned out they didn’t have funding?
I would imagine they will now join in 2020.

Might be worth noting that the posters in the NSWRL competitions sub forum are itching for an exceptionally late NSW Cup draw.

Might there be a interesting reason the lateness of the draw? Perhaps a last minute team?

Better late than never but This is fantastic news all the same. With NRL trial matches being played in Fiji alongside a Fijian franchise playing in the NSW cup and more and more Fijians starring in the NRL I can honestly see RL becoming the dominant code in Fiji within the next 10-15 years.

Its a great use of pre-season games too. In Aus, they usually get <500 and its tough taking regular season games away when teams back up the week after.

Teams can take their time, treat it like a holiday (so players should be on board) and do so good development work there too.

We got over 11000 to a pre season game years ago, can’t understand why we never got another one!
