Haven’t been able to find a thread dedicated to the growth of the game in Victoria so here we go.
The positive signs are:

214 teams registered this year:
A number of female comps;
Three grades of senior men’s football;
A regional comp of 6 teams played out of Mildura; and
Another regional comp played over summer on the sa border called the limestone league.
Only downer is fall off of teams after under 13s but that’s the problem nationwide.
Checkout nrl Victoria’s website for more information.

Hope they keep up the good work then. Of the 214 teams registered how many are juniors compared to senior teams? Where are teams mostly based geographically - presumably Melbourne but which suburbs?

About 150 teams are 12s and under. Go to nrl vic for the club locator. It will show you where they are based. Plenty of room for growth.

Depends where they play U18's. Most Vic players will be in Storm Qlnd cup sides so will be eligible for them. WA is in NSW comp so eligible for NSW.

Are you suggesting that there are Origin quality players in Estonia with no rivals to play against? But aren't you aware of Serbia, where the Origin sides could select the Trbojevic brothers, Nikola Cotric and Tom Opacic?

Nothing, they won’t be eligible for nsw & qld just as Melbourne juniors such as Mahe Fonua weren’t.
The game on the road should always have Western Australia v Victoria origin teams playing as the Curtain raiser to nsw v qld! What is the point of a junior nsw v qld origin game played in Perth or at the mcg? Give the locals an incentive to get there early and support their state and the rivalry (and standard) may grow!
