What is it with NSW and at least one winger in their team?

Wingers usually come in with good form. Once they put on the NSW jersey, it turns them into an instant dickhead.

Prior form
1. Jarryd Hayne
2. Steve Turner
3. Anthony Quinn
4. James McManus

Well done on your induction to the "NSW Dickhead Wingers Club" David Williams :)

Wasn't Quinn Man of the Match in his first Origin match? :?

Quinn also has it over all of the above, actually both the Storm wingers do.

Perhaps we could change this thread to "Dud Manly players that can't hold the ball club"

McManus had a better debut that Turner IMO. Inglis jumping over Turner laying on the ground is one of the greatest Origin moments.

the manly contingent were woeful tonight. tried to make up for it with some big hits, but realistically coughed up too much ball and offered little in attack.

The team was a joke from the get go and played like one.

there are 4 players that can hold there head high

gidley
watmough
hayne
kite - didn;t do anything wrong in his 20 mins

the rest were either non-participants or mistake ridden players

williams might have had a barry but i reckon wallace, creagh, odonnell, poore, farah, gallen are all right up there with him

my thoughts exactly - forget about blaming the players too much - the game plan of bash & barge in the first half put way to much pressure on the blues with the smaller packs - 2nd half showed with some expansive stuff that they could win playing that type of game

and as much as i love josh morris, selecting him when we lost our hooker/half back was a mistake.

the team selection was poor form the onset. knew wed lose when they read the names out.

Did it show did it.

Cause I could have sworn depite a mountain of possession and Queensland being a couple of men down that NSW only scored one try.

Anyway Bellamy is a great coach. Just more suited to spending more develoment time with his players at NRL level at this stage of his career.

I mean Jack Gibson was sh*t in SOO as well.

I like David Williams, he has been a breath of fresh air of late.

On an evening of abject joy watching hapless NSW wankers adopting the foetal positon, the only thing that bummed me out was his poor game.

No doubt he will be heckled and abused by the same talentless f**kwits who infest this board, depsite them not having an ounce of talent themselves, at anything let alone the top level of league.

So Wolfman will probably go back into his shell and become another boring drone.

Sad.

Gibson lost the 89 series against an awesome QLD team, next year he knocked them off. Mentioning him and Bellamy in the same sentence is a total injustice to the memory of Big Jack.

Not as awesome as this Queensland team.

Anyway, the point is, and im sure you get it, losing in SOO doesnt define you as a coach. Particulary when you come up agaisnt one the great teams of all time.

Lets just say we looked total underprepared tonight, you can put some of that blame on the selectors but Bellamy also has to take some of the blame.
