I think NSW missed Cleary's organization but also his tackling which is underrated at this level. My gripe was however hard Tedesco tried he must learn to pass the ball seemed to be a bit of a hog last night to say the least.

The importance of a good halves combination(combination being keyword) can’t be underestimated refer to our 2 losses and woeful Parra match. Would NSW have won with Reynolds/ Walker combo? Never know but Freddie should have bit the bullet and picked 3/4 of spine that was used to playing together. Might have given Latrell more room to.

I have said many times we are the best team in the comp by a mile. That is set up due to defence. We have the best pack and hooker in the comp for starters
And the best halves combination... No other combination is even close. But the best part of a decade together is almost like cheating.

Not picking the Souths combo was ridiculous.

It would have improved Cook, Murray and Latrell's games immensely instead Freddy pulled the handbrake.

Its all good to want the Souths combo and it would have been an improvement most probably but Walker flopped badly at Origin level. He was that bad Freddy hooked him mid game

And how many comps in that decade have they won together?

Again not all on them but until winning comps then having the best side is wasted.

3/4 of the spine are Origin players
The backrow
And an outside back

Really is no excuse to win it this year

They played their first year of NRL together last year. Made the grand final on their first attempt. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Both in early 20s aswell. Most halves don't reach their peak until late 20s.

This year they're undefeated together at club and rep level. Yet you still cant give them credit. Some fan you are. All you do is keep shitting on Nathan Cleary and belittling the importance of his position despite blaming him for every loss. You're already setting it up so if we dont win the grand final he's shit. But if we do win it he wasn't an important part of the team.

Nathan is one tackle or falling the wrong way away from missing the rest of the season. We aren't winning a competition without him... And we're not sure how he can perform with this injury either. There's the excuse. Our best player is busted and his ability in these circumstances is not yet known.

We need to be absolutely perfect to defeat Storm.

Cleary, Luai, May, Leota etc lost 2014 SG Ball. NYC to Roosters then last year NRL. So while that core of the side has dominated for a decade.

Very little in the way of trophies to show for it. A couple of minor premierships and the NYC that clashed with

Given they are no longer rookies no reason can't dominate NRL

Yeo being a ball hog and getting in the way killing momentum

Hopefully that’s the last origin he plays
That is an interesting take; I had not picked that up from watching the game a few times. Was it the volume of Yeo’s touches or the timing that you objected too?

He's a troll. In another thread he's claiming Moses is better than Cleary. How can a player be a ball hod if they're passing the ball on 70% of their touches?

Yeo did the exact job he was meant to do for NSW. Unlike the halves. Although publicly Fittler and Brandy have backed them. But honestly all they had to do was get good clean ball to Turbo and Mitchell for a clean sweep.

Wait so now you want to blame Cleary and Luai for losses they didn't play in?

How could Cleary lose to Roosters in the NYC? He was an NRL player in 2016. He played finals for Panthers in the NRL. Jarome Luai was missing also through suspension. They 100% f**king destroy Roosters that year if they are the halves.

How f**king desperate are you to slam Nathan that you're going back to SG Ball for losses and trying to slide in games he didn't play aswell? These were the teams for that grand final loss to Roosters. Blame your mate Tyrone May.

Nathan was an NRL player in 2016. Him and Jarome were not reunited until 2020 where they took us to a grand final. But yes shit talk how unsuccessful they are. Make up reasons if you cant find anything more recent than when Nathan was 15 years old.
