Tedesco got players player man of the match.

That's A better honour than channel 9 motm

They made a good choice last night giving it to Fifita. No doubt some of the mom awards are total rubbish sometimes but they got last night's right.

I'm not saying they didn't. But to me being voted best player by your own peers is a bigger honour than those of the commentary team. You know players that were actual on the field with you

I'm pretty sure the MOM award last night was voted by the Aus selectors not 9. When they gave it to him I was wating for him to ask if they had the Clive Churchill for him as well....

Teddy is Bae and has been the best fullback in the game for 3 years. No contest.

Boyd has been great the past 2 years but that's in the Broncos side. How did Darius go at the Knights again? So bad he cried for daddy.

Put Teddy at the Broncos and Boyd at the Tigers alongside Moses and Brooks for 3 years and lets see who the majority think is the games best fullback.

Like I said. No contest. Teddy has GoaT potential as a fullback and I've been walking around with tight underwear on for weeks to cover the boner I still have after we signed him.

Gutted for Tigers fans but ecstatic as a Rooster.

Teddy was phenomenal in game 1 but it doesn't come close to Jarryd Hayne's effort in game 1 in 2014 up at Suncorp stadium as for a few reasons

# Hayne did it against a full strength QLD team with players in the prime of there careers such as Billy Slater,Greg Inglis,Jonathon Thurston,Matt Scott(None of these guys played against Tedseco)

# Hayne didn't have Lord Fifita in the team

# Hayne played with Qld's best players Robbie Farah and Paul Gallen

# Didn't have James Maloney(Way better than Josh Reynolds)

#Played with donkey's like Tony Williams and Trent Hodkinson

Teddy you were brilliant but it's game set match Hayne brudda for best Fullback display at Suncorp from a Blues player

If Frizzell is out of game 2 does Jackson start on the right, Trbojevic to 13 and Debelin onto the bench?
That's a likely scenario I'd say.

The NSW forward depth at the moment is ridiculous. You have imo the best second rower in the game (Graham) sitting on the bench and guys like Vaughan, Merrin, Boyd and others who can't get a game. We have Hess and Wallace who are quality but after that just plodders.

or maybe start Cords on the right and start Graham on the left. didn't seem to cause too many issues in Game 1 when they switch Cords to the right so Graham could come onto the left, but then again, Papalii was worn out after the ridiculous first half hr of the match.

the above will then maintain the combo's from game 1. moving jackson onto the edge means getting him familiar with the back line plays for game 2. Daley will want to keep him in the middle to absorb the defensive work, even if he doesn't contribute much in attack. If Fifita plays like that again, they won't need him too.

It just seems Debelin is next backrower off the rank. I can't see Debelin and Trbojevic both starting on the bench as they are too similar.

As was pointed out before origin, it doesnt matter which side the backrowers play on. The can play either side. It matters not.

it does to some degree. graham replaced frizell, and cordner switched to frizell's side so graham could go onto his preferred left.

if it didn't matter, then we'd see them swapping sides each week to take advantage of defensive weaknesses or strengths in the opposition. they rarely do.

anyway, my comment was more about daley probably wanting to change as little as possible for game 2 so robbing the middle of jackson to go on the edge, then having to bring in another starter in the middle is changing things up a bit. better off just keeping the combos as they were in game 1 considering everything worked so well.

Having them swap sides every week would take a coach who actually had enough balls to really coach not follow the Bennett ball theory.

They can play either side when need be. No drama at all.

Cordner shifted to the right side with ease, they should keep him there and Graham on the left. Graham was immense in that game and I don't think he's been given the credit that he deserves... without him I don't think they would have scored that try at half time and that try really changed the momentum of the game. He was the one who went up in the line, drew the defence and put teddy through that huge gap which led to Pearce scoring then he put the icing on the cake with that beautiful ball to Hayne to score the last try.
