You would think Vaughans metres after contact would push him well.into contention as well as his form this season. In origin where time and space are reduced significantly because of murder in the ruck you need guys that can still find ways to pump out 8-10m a run when the defence is in your face as soon as you catch it.

Vaughn seems to be stepping out of the pack of like 10 good props. JDB is playing better football than Merrin at the moment but he's also playing with the form front row in the comp, wouldn't expect him to leapfrog Merrin in the pecking order this time round.

Not my team but what I expect Daley to pick:

1. Tedesco
2. Ferguson
3. Bird
4. Jennings
5. Dugan
6. Pearce
7. Maloney
8. Woods
9. Farah
10. Klemmer
11. Cordner
12. Frizell
13. Jackson

14. Moylan
15. Graham
16. Merrin
17. Boyd/Vaughan/Tamou
You're probably right but fugg me Matt Prior would be better than Woods.

Really hope we would finally make some decent inroads in the last few years.... hooker still remains a real weakness for at least this year. Other than that forwards are looking great if picked on form. We have a lot of depth in the backs too but it's all about finding the right mix I'd go with something like this

1. Tedesco
2. Bmoz
3. Bird( duges will probably be a centre though)
4. Walker or Hayne if he fires( not sure which side bj is on I'd love him to play but think he has a real hodges debut feel about him with brain snaps)
5. Tom t ( obviously mansour on a wing if he was fit)
6. Maloney
7. Reynolds
8. Woods(just)
9. Wallace ( if we are looking at 2-0 down blood peats or even McInnes if he holds form)
10. Fafita
11. Cordner
12. Friz
13. jdb on current form far better touch then merrin

14. Moylan
15. Vaughn
16. Klemmer
17. Depends on what they think qld will roll with as they are looking at a few injuries. Boyd or even prior.

How many series have we won in the last 10 years?
So changing the side every year to bring in whoever has had a couple of good games is the way to go? NSW have too many options and there is much more scope to pick the wrong ones. That is the whole problem.

I think they should stick largely with the side that won the last game. Players who are in form need to stay in form and they'll get a go sooner or later.

the form arguement is a copout excuse simply for rival fans to justify ragging on selections they don't like in favour of their own

qld don't have this issue because they don't have the rivalries in place to destabilise from within

..and they have a much smaller talent pool to select from.

yep

IF we debated the merits of alternative selections positively, our talent pool should be an asset, instead we have obvious destabilisers when we have rival fans typically starting their arguements with "he's shit" and "who's he got naked photos of" etc...

Is Farah in your team? the second he comes on Souths look shithouse.

I'm a big fan of Wallace at hooker, no nonsense and doesn't get in the way.

Woods always plays good at rep level hence why he always gets selected. Same with Josh Jackson. Wasn't he our best player last year?

Frizz, f**k he runs hard.

I don't have a team, but Daley has indicated that if Farah is fit and in form he will get the nod. At the moment Wallace is playing 80 quality minutes and Farah isn't. The latter needed a fair bit of physio work to get on the field for his 35 odd minutes (when he did play well) last game but I get the feeling he isn't fit enough at this point.
