If we stink it up this year, will wobbie come out to the media and say "I'm no longer there, so it can't be my fault".

Can't belive that marshmallow headband gets a run.
He is f**king softer than wet toilet paper.

If Woods was swapped for Vaughn then I think it is pretty close to our strongest team. I am pretty happy with the side Laurie has selected.

There can be a case made for Dylan Walker, Moylan and JDB but I can see why they were left out. You can't pick them all.

Farrah is finally gone. I'm not sure that Peats is our long term option but anyone other then Farrah is a step in the right direction. The big pussy cat, Tamou, is gone also. Laurie has made some good calls this year which he has failed to do in previous years.
Hayne at Centre is the biggest mistake. He was given a bath on Saturday by Walker and Uate. Walker was playing on one leg. Hayne on the wing, sure. But not centre.

Peats was also badly out matched by Kourisou on Saturday night too. I'm not sold on him, but thank god it wasn't Farah.

Not just this season, he has deserved Origin selection for 3 years.

From what I understand, it wasn't form that saw him dropped and ultimately let go by the Raiders, but even so that shouldn't have played a part here when you have a bloke convicted of sexual assault in the team.

Vaughan has been held one of the best props in the game for many years now.

This argument fails miserably when applied to Jarryd Hayne too. He missed two years and hasn't looked anything like the player he was, his selection is a massive slap in the face to guys like Dylan Walker and Jarrod Croker who have been ultra consistent over a number of years.

Laurie and the selectors have no idea what they're doing.

The problem is that he was playing reggies last year. Because the Raiders shut up shop about the real reason why he got dropped then punted, it does seem for the outsider that there was a question mark on form and that his current form is fairly new.

Hoping Hayne's form against Manly was a blip. He was good against the sharks and against gagai.

Can anyone please explain why Jackson is starting over Graham.

Jackson pros: averages 5 tackles a game more than Graham
Grahams pros: scores tries, sets up tries, can pass, can kick, shuts down opposition halves

Ahhh but you haven't factored in the consideration that Josh Jackson has a really cool name. So cool, rather tough name as well. Josh Jackson...just really rolls off the tongue. Coach Gonzo was probably "thinking" at the time I'll put JJ in the starting pack because when the Queenslanders read the teamsheet they will be intimidated by how cool and tough Josh Jackson's name appears on the teamsheet.

Paul vaughn had an average 2016 but was also very good the few years before that.

Honestly i would pick so many players ahead of woods.
Ryan James
J Paulo

Why is another clubs player playing instead of my clubs player?

Pretty much how I see it. Agreeing with a Dogs fan though...... I now need a wash.

Woods gets in on the basis his rep performances are all class

I don't think I've ever seen him perform badly at this level

I agree his form is currently shit house but he'll step up at this level

I don't remember Woods doing anything at any level. The ONLY thing I ever remember him doing is jumping up into the air and falling over in that celebration last year or whenever it was.

That's not the case.

Tell me why Jackson is starting over Graham.

1. He's last years player of the series.

2. He's in better form than graham right now, are you just simply ignoring how he's playing at the dogs at the moment? Wade has gone off the boil since his season start.

3. He's a far more defensively solid player, one on one, 1 percenters line speed discipline etc... wade provides impact off the bench

Who gives a sh1t who was player of the series last year.
Wade is not out of form. Jackson in form is making lots of tackles and average soft runs. scoring no points and not assisting in any points either.
Defensively they're both sound. Jackson will tackle all day but that's it. Wouldn't you want a backrower that can pass and kick like a half? Jackson offers none of that, he is very 1 dimensional.
Pick Graham starting and watch him destroy Milford every time he gets the ball.
I'm going to fall asleep watching Jackson make 498 tackles.

Lol

It's so easy to jump on the we hate woods bandwagon (I've bagged him all year ffs)

But he always plays good at this level

Based on your argument you don't pick Hayne, Morris, Klemmer, Ferguson, or Jackson either because there are players in those positions playing a lot
Better also (with the exception of Ferguson maybe)

I'm predicting Dugan wont make it. Bird for centre and Moylan on the bench?

I would prefer getting Peachey

Josh Dugan injury to hamper Blues’ preparation for State of Origin I

NSW centre Josh Dugan is under strict medical advice from St George-Illawarra to sit out all contact drills until 24 hours before State of Origin I as he recovers from a fractured cheekbone suffered in last month’s Anzac Test.

The revelation will have a major impact on the Blues’ preparations ahead of Wednesday week’s game at Suncorp Stadium.

The Daily Telegraph has learned that as a result of conversations with Dragons medical staff prior to Dugan’s selection on Monday night, the NSWRL will need to consider eliminating the Blues strike weapon’s involvement in all contact sessions once he enters camp in Kingscliff on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Dragons, Dugan’s first contact and tackling assessment will need to be at the Blues captain’s run next Tuesday.

Despite the Dragons medical staff diagnosis, Dugan has told NSWRL officials that he feels he will be fit and confident to be involved in contact sessions by Friday and possibly, as early as Thursday.

Blues coach Laurie Daley is aware of the expert advice and won’t risk Dugan, who he views as a proven game-breaker, if he’s considered anything less than a 100 per cent.

Daley failed to name a shadow centre for Dugan upon announcing his squad at The Star on Monday night, but did select Matt Moylan on an extended bench, suggesting a possible reshuffle should the Dragons fullback be deemed too great a risk.

By Origin I, it will have been 26 days since he suffered the injury while playing for the Kangaroos against the Kiwis in Canberra.

It was during the second half that Dugan collided in a sickening head clash with St George-Illawarra teammate and New Zealand prop Russell Packer.

Dragons officials will monitor the Blues’ handling of Dugan, given coach Paul McGregor expects his star fullback to line up for the club in their round 13 clash with the Wests Tigers on June 3, three days after Origin I.

Physically, Dugan has lost nothing in his conditioning with the cheekbone injury having no impact on his ability to continue his agility, speed and ball work.

However, given he will only have the captain’s run to test his cheekbone, his greatest challenge could be his mental aspect going into an Origin game.

Having signed a $3 million deal to join Cronulla last Saturday, Dugan will enter camp with his future secured, yet his immediate playing future, teste
