Yes, strongly concur here.

There would not be many RL fans who suspected that the selectors would attempt to pick who they believed are the best players we have in the positions they've been selected.

Deep.

Half the posters in here seem convinced they deliberately pick worse players out of "loyalty" or "reputation"

and muppets like you are the worse of the lot

"selection should be based on form.....unless it's pearce"
"selection should be based on past performances....unless it's hayne"

it's almost like you like taking 2 pieces of everything so you can change your mind whenever needed.....oh hang on....

Exactly where did I say any of this?

I am trying to be positive with the side. The main positives I see are,

  • Sterlo, great to have his input
  • Dugan
  • Hayne, best player for us at this level
  • Maloney, will get the job done, solid
  • Peats = no farah
  • Cordner (c)
  • Frizell, will beast it up and hopefully steamrolls milf all game
  • Graham
  • JTurbo, best impact player off the bench
  • Bird
And if pearce gets injured, Moylan will take his role

Being glass half full:

1. He'd still be my pick.
2/3. Representative pair at all levels so can work together.
4. If he can find his previous origin form QLD will wee themselves a little.
5. Has origin experience and is good when he puts in 110%
6/7. Very good club combination and both in form at club level. If they can combine those things they will do well.
8. If he can lift he is a very good forward. Being out of Tigers for a week should help. Like Teddy.
9. He is my long term pick. Rate him highly.
10. My pick. Damn good forward.
11. Very good defencive player and had a good game for the dogs last week. Something solid for the team.
12. Nothing needs said. Deserves being captain and will lead from the front. Very good player.
13. Friz is love, Friz is life
14. I feel sorry for QLD.
15. In the top 5 second rowers in the game.
16. Deserves his debut. Definitely rate him.
17. Good player. Will be destructive if used correctly.

"Tedescos form doesn't warrant selection"

Stats suggest otherwise

Possibly the worst season I've seen him play to date yet still tops the ranking in tackle breaks and 2nd in metres, 2 pretty handy stats for a fullback

If that's bad form I'd like to know what he's like in good form
