Cordner and Friz got through more defensive and attacking work than Jackson, yet Jackson was our 2nd best behind Fifita because a genius commentator said so? Did you watch Tedesco play? lol

The whole team played well aside from Fergo, Dugan and Pearce. A good captains knock from Cordner. Fifita and Tedesco were the obvious standouts. Friz was kept quiet in attack, Peats didn't put a foot wrong but needs more involvement in attack for game 2. Hayne and Morris did well. If you are to replace anyone from the outside backs it would be Fergo.

Graham and Klemmer done well off the bench. Jturbo and Bird also played well, you can't take these guys out of the future teams. If you would replace anyone in the forwards it needs to be Jackson and Woods.

Now that Daley is likely to win a series, I highly doubt this team will change even one bit. We still need to think about players getting on in age and who is coming through.

i thought Jackson played well but he definitely looked like our most ineffectual forward in attack.. As i said earlier in the thread him a JTrob are too similar to have in the same team, i think subbing one of them for a Vaughn or JDB strengthens the team even further and gives us more punch off the bench.

But f**k it we won so barring injury they wont be changing anything. i'm looking forward to the world renowned QLD loyalty coming into play for Myles Lillyman Nielson Mcguire Gagai Guerra etc

So care to explain why you think Jackson was our 2nd best ahead of Tedesco?

in the first half he was, when the game was still an armwrestle there's a reason qld props made few yards and it wasn't our props, line speed was jackson and cordner. tedesco came into his own in the 2nd half and was 2nd best at fulltime.

The NSW selection meeting for game 2 will last less than one minute. Same 17 retained, barring injury. Pearce was average, especially his kicking game, but he scored a try and will be there again.

So basically you copy what sterlo said and have no original thought of your own, gotcha.

um no

like i've said repeatedly, my own analysis which in turn re-inforced by sterlo other commentators and other posters here.

is that really the only way you can retort? discredit sources? lol

I think coming to the Roosters next year and becoming a big part of our team will be a huge boost to him as well. He's only going to improve.

For starters he is 24.

He has been down this year but prior to that Tedesco has played like he did last night every week for 3 straight years. It's nothing new, people just noticed it cause it was Origin.

Even if he plays to the same standard as he always has next year idiot fans will say he has improved due to the roosters anyway.

If by great you mean plodding runs and doing lots of tackles and then sitting half the match on the bench then yes he played great.

I agree dugan was off but Jackson filled a very important roll last night. QLD started with more energy and impact for the first 5 mins. He helped weather that storm which allowed our attacking forwards to do damage later.

Disagree. If anyone is to be replaced its should be Dugan.

Fergo made one bad error on the Oats try but was otherwise great. Strong runs and good defence. He didnt have much attack to work with

On the flip side Dugan crabbed across field all night and generally forgot Fergo was there. He also had a poor night defencively.

From a Qld point of view....

NSW were SO much better with Peats. Peats underplayed his hand, gave great service to the halves, went for a few runs when needed and tackled well. No coming out from dummy half throwing dummies and generally going sideways and slowing the play down like Farah.

And as someone above said... no Gallen taking every 4th hit up helped so much...

NSW played the perfect game last night, well done
