Under contracts between NSWRL and the ARLC, both bodies are required to act in the best interests of rugby league.

If thats the truth then both parties are in severe breach of contract and have been for years

No body won that case.
It was ruled that the NSWRL must be funded but also ruled what they did with the elections was wrong.
A complete waste of money that could have been spend on grass roots RL. Oh hang on that money would have been spend on elite professional players and administrators

For some reason Its been decided that we should pay too much for foxtel, watch too many adds on CH9 all so the players can get paid buckets loads more than the market would naturally support, then none of the money goes to grass roots RL. The icing on the cake is they also decide that we want the game changed. How good is that .....

Grassroots had $25mill stripped out of it last year so NRL clubs and players could get an extra $50mill thrown at them.

NSWRL took the case up to stop NRL defunding them and removing origin control, the court ruled in their favour. Yes the election side issue was deemed to have been incorrect on NSWRL part but the Judge deemed the mistake was a honest mistake as they had been given incorrect legal advice.
they weren't in court for that, they were there for the money.
