Nutters not charged

Well Nutters got penalised on Sunday for something we have seen a thousand times this year already by other unpenalised players.
Even a rumour, that he would be the first to face the panel for the grapple tackle ruling!
Well not only should he have not been penalised, but that charge rumour, was a joke.
Anyway he hasn't been charged, but that incorrect penalty, lead to a try.
Along with pritchards forward pass to Amos
& Rooney's offside try
it was a good "rub of the green"(it looks like brace may be finished with)
for the panthers on Sunday.

I have to disagree on the "grapple tackle" thing Reefy.
I thought it was a fair call given the directive by the NRL. Having said that though, there's been 100's of similar tackles that have gone unpunished. That's where the incorrect penalties are, not with the Nutley case.

I noticed the forward pass to Roberts for that try too, but no one said anything about it so I thought it must have been my Sharkie bias coming through. I also thought that there wer 2 players offside in Rooney's try, but again, I put that down to my one eyed view!

We weren't good enough to win on Sunday, but those calls don't make it any easier. Once again, thanks Mr Archer.

It wasn't a grapple tackle.
He grabbed the guys face & placed his hand over his mouth & nose.
completely different technique.

He was still in contact with the head or face of an opposing player.

Call it what you want, but I think it should be penalised.
There was no way he was going to be charged though.

The "grapple tackle" by Nutts wasn't the same sort of grapple tackle as the storm put on and there were a few that were far worse than Nutts effort over the weekend that didn't even draw a penalty. Archer only penalised Nutts because he's such a crap referee he wanted his bosses to see that he does penalise for something and hope they didn't see all the poor decisions he made.

I also didnt see it as a grapple. I saw it as a facial as nuts was getting to his feet. The forceful hand planting on the tackled players face on rising to ones feet happens at least 2 times in every set in every game.

That Archer chose to blow his whistle in that instance demonstrated either bias against nutely and/or the sharks, OR demonstrated that the fat bugger was blowing hard and needed a rest, so he blew any penalty he could dream up in that play the ball.

It only becomes a fair penalty when it is evenly distributed.
It is rarely distibuted. So it is not fair.
If every facial is penalised this week, then i will change my opinion.
Geez if 20% are penalised, I will change my mind.

Tell me who is waiting for the first penalty for incorrect play the ball?
It is a blatant penalty for not touching the ball with your foot.
I reckon 1 in 3 play the balls are illegal ATM.
Who will be the first team to suffer the penalty & lose agame by 2 points?
Will that be fair?

no, so why Im not saying the nutely facial is within the rules, I am saying that it must be consistantly blown, or not at all.
