Hi Tigers fans,

Just wanted to let you know that the NZRL Annual Awards are on this Friday night. There's a couple of Tigers players in contention:

NZRL Player of the Year
- Benji Marshall
- Paul Whatuira
- Ruben Wiki

NZRL Rookie of the Year
- Benji Marshall
- Manu Vatuvei
- Someone else (sorry, my minds gone blank for a second!)

Are these awards for rep players only or to decide the best kiwi player running around at the moment?

If international no Tigers player will win an award

As far as I know, it covers the whole year in all competitions (including our local Bartercard Cup).

Benji should be a good tip for Rookie of the Year.

If it was for all compitions then Benji shouldn't be up for the rookie of the year award as he made his debut in 03 against the Knights at Cambelltown Stadium which is why I was leading towards international player of the year awards and not the best eligable kiwi of the year award
