Oakland v Denver

He may have lost a step, but if your other safety and corners are fast enough, he is a weapon, even at 35. I think his biggest attribute is his leadership and that is something the Broncos sorely missed.

I might have to go back to playing Madden 08 which starts off with Dawkins giving a speech to his team about an upcoming game. ;-)

My good man, I will be watching as it is the Fox game out here I think.

Dallas look scratchy at the moment and going to Denver against a rejuvinated Broncos defence is going to make for a great contest. This is our respect game and I think we are a huge chance of winning it.

I'll check the schedule and get back to you.

Welcome back old son. Good to see you back on the boards and hopefully the Broncos can dispose of the Cowboys come Monday morning.

As a Eagles fan, im more than happy to see Denver do a job on the 'Boys... its inherited hatred. I didnt even mind the cowboys till i was an eagles fan, and now i cant stand them

Legend, you're underestimating Kyle Orton.

Last season he had 3000 yards, 18 TDs and 12 int's, with no weapons and an average o-line.

In Denver he hasn't been trying and has 3 TDs, 650 yards and no Ints.

If he needs to shift it up a gear, I have no doubts he can. He's a good game manager and at the moment that's all we need. We have a 1-2 punch in the run game which can put up 150+ yards against most teams and Orton will have consistent games of 250+ yards.

We only need about 20 points to win, our D will hold teams to less than 3 touchdowns.

I guess I'm wary of Orton at the moment. If Josh opens up the playbook a bit and Kyle gets going then great. All I want is a win over Dallas but seeing Orton throw for a few touchdowns and over 300 yards would be nice. It would give us respect in the media although flying under the radar is just what this team needs.

Thanks.

I'm not really concerned about the Cowgirls, Monday night.

We're 3-0 the last three meeting with them.... we're playing them at home.... and Romo, as a recent ESPN profile of him stated ".... Tony Romo, a talented but erratic QB who's prone to distractions...." We should topple them and I'd be pretty upset if we didn't.

The coming games after the Cowgirls will really show our true colors for 2009 - New England, at San Diego, at Baltimore, Pittsburgh.

Our defense is rated top of the chain at present... but the three teams we've impressed against thus far, two had last season's worst offense.... so I'll take the ranking with a grain of salt....at least thus far. The Girl's number three ranked offence Monday night will test our defense.

Thus far, we've shut up plenty of the [so-called] experts with our 3 & 0 start and will probably make it worse for them come the season's end.... let's face it, most of them, at pre-season previews, had us not too much better than about 6-10 finish at the season'e end.

I got a feeling we're gonna' shut some [many] "experts" up later into the regular season. I hope, anyway....

As for Orton, I'm really not a fan at all... but I'll give him a go.

Garcia's take on Russell:
"When you put him on the field in a one-on-one workout session he'll make every throw for you," Garcia said during the radio show. "But when it comes down to making things happen in the heat of the battle and rallying the troops around you and making a case for the team, that's where maybe things aren't where they need to be."

Garcia's belief on why the Raiders are the Raiders:
"It was to a point where I felt like guys who walked through those doors that just were there to collect a check and not really interested in putting everything that they had within themselves on to the football field," he said. "And that was the frustrating thing for me to see.

"There were a lot of good young guys in that locker room who really want to do whatever it takes to win, but unfortunately it's not everybody," Garcia added. "In order to compete at this level in this game, everybody needs to be on board."

Maybe that is why every QB since Gannon has done zilch.
