Couple of Newmarket hopefuls in this.

I've been a Shadoways fan in the past. Will have a look at the form for it first though.

the top 3 look the obvious 3

i'll look at the form a bit later, but i'm still leaning towards FnF. although i think Shadoways loves Caulfield. and Magnus is a very solid horse

Cast A Shadow in the Oakleigh Plate

Bet-Busters Melbourne form man Peter Ellis expects Shadoways to get conditions to suit in tomorrow’s $350,000 G1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield.
“There are six leaders in the race so they’ll go hard,” Ellis said.
“Shadoways will relish the frantic tempo and he loves the 1100m at Caulfield.
A proven fresh horse, Shadoways has won three of his six starts at Caulfield with the three wins coming over the Oakleigh Plate distance.
“He should have won the G 1 Salinger in the spring and this is hardly a Group One standard field.”
Ellis has nominated Magnus and Fast ‘N’ Famous as the hardest to beat.
In the $1 million G1 Arrowfield Stud Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m), Ellis believes the booking of Greg Childs is the key to the prospects of Victory Chant.
“He just went way too hard last start - he’s got a tongue tie on so if he can settle then he’s the one to beat,” Ellis said.
”The booking of Childs is a big plus, he’s a proven big race rider and should give the horse every chance.”
On a day when Ellis thinks the “shorties” will dominate he does give Benko a chance at odds in the first, the carsales.com.au Cup (1100m).
”She can mix her form but she does usually race ok at Caulfield,” he said.
”She’s had a freshen-up and it won’t surprise me if she’s charging home over the top of them in this.
”I think she’s the best value in a tricky race.”

Might have a nibble at the 11's for the Newmarket too...

Magnus is no value.
Nolen replaced by King?
Why?
Rumoured they may take him OS.
He'd be my selection but its a race of horses below group 1 standard but 1 will be after the race.
Shadoways always finds a way to get beat in the big races(normally will blow the start).
Dance The Waves looked a good bet but is likely to be taken on in front.
I'll be taking the field in the Double and hope the first 3 favourites go under.

Just realised its not a daily double race.
Races 6 and 8 in Melbourne today.
Oh well I think I'll just watch this one.

While i never really looked at it before the race, Undue was the only previous group one winner in the field so looking at it that way it wasn't overly surprising.
