Don't think it's bone on bone yet. Just nearly worn out cartilage at the moment. Got an appointment with a specialist on 15 Nov (already been waiting a couple of weeks). Probably start with the hip.

That's good to hear.
Probably laser work which is quick and easy. Hope it is for your sake.

Yes Total knee replacement
Its was because I had acute rheumatoid arthritis.
In run in my famly my dad had it and my sister and the daughter has it.
Its a shit

We have a lot in common, DA61.
I have needles fortnightly for that too!
I'm riddled with it, ha!
Mostly Phiactic & Osteo and to a lessor degree, Rheumatoid.
Stay positive mate!

Sorry to hear Samy but hope the new knee works well for you! How's the other knee?
I never anticipated I'd go downhill so fast knee and hip wise in retirement!
Sorry to hear about your travails too OKB. Seems like many of us old Dragons are afflicted.

1957 vintage here.

Good luck today at rehab. Good to know that you get some relief from the Endodan.

A work colleague of mine had both knees done at the same time. Must have been tough for him!

Hope your other knee is OK.

Sorry to hear you have RA Samy. Definitely a shitty disease mate. The immunosuppressive meds are making a huge difference, but being on the right one is proving differcult as you will obviously know. I've been to a couple of Prof Lyn March's seminars in Sydney. She has her own private practice, but works a lot with Royal North Shore Hospital in providing innovative care for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Worth a look Samy. Xx

I get it OKB but you need to keep moving those joints. Swimming is great for non-resistant training whilst you need to add some resistance training too. I would honestly suggest pilates. Not the most masculine of workouts but you do get to hang out with good looking chicks most of the time :)

Agreed DQ,

Swimming is the most non intrusive exercise of all!

Keep us updated Samy on your progress. I'm especially interested as I may not be far behind you!

And you are right, we are a family. We may have different opinions and may squabble at times, there may be the strange uncle, the mother figure (I guess that's you Drag Queen) and wayward brother but we all have a common cause that binds us together......
