They are on loan to Wenty so they can play in their reserve grade side. Through the week they train with the rest of the Eels contracted players.

It's brad and the retention staffs call on which players come or go.
Brad is also the head coach and is the main person responsible for development.
The buck stops with brad and Gurr

Brad also sets the tone in which style of play he wants throughout the grades as when a player is called up, the systems are similar you idiot

Sure but we don't sign players for Wenty, and there are currently nine of them in today's 17. You're only as strong as your weakest link.

Well surely a superstar like Your man kane Evans should make up some of the difference. The dragons aren't exactly brimming with first graders. Matagi as well

He did play 90 odd games for the Roosters as you keep implying.

Maybe he still isn't match fit lol.

The fact still is, reserve grade is supposed to be the final stop before the nrl for a good group of players - and it's been massive failure for years so wake up

22 - 40 full time

Look, i understand ba isn't totally responsible for every player throughout the systems, but the undeniable fact is, there are very few players in that grade who are worthy of a future call up.
This coming from one of the best jnr bases in the comp. And very few have come through in recent times.

Only four or five of them are even eligible for a call up:

Auva'a
Davis
Evans
Leleisiuao (possibly top 30)
Matagi

As has been explained to you across multiple sites development takes time. BA has been here since 2014 so the kids who started in Harold Matts that year are now 20 but the kids who were in Harold Matts once he put his ethos into place are now 19.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if we have junior players coming into first grade from 2020 you'll praise whatever coach comes in (if it isn't BA) because of the amount of good juniors coming through. The hard work has been done by Anthony Field and Brad Arthur who had to build from an extremely poor junior rep program.
