I got this straight out of todays SMH.

Brits player power
With intellectual property rights one of the key issues in the player's dispute with the NRL, Sin Bin has learnt that their British counterparts recently forced a computer game licensed by the Rugby Football League to remove their names and images as they had not given consent.

So i am guess there is no English Super League in the game :( :(
I was really hoping there would be :( I guess Mario or Vodka can clarify this situation ?

While I can't comment on whether SuperLeague is included in the game or not, it is untrue that we ourselves were forced to do anything.

Assuming we do have the SuperLeague license we would not be allowed to use the player likenesses as this would not be covered by a licensing agreement with SuperLeague. This is unlike the situation with the NRL where the players automatically pass on the rights to their likenesses and names as part of their player contracts.

In any case, SuperLeague player names could be included in the game if we have the SuperLeague license.

Unfortunately the vey name Super League is why we didn't have the correct names for half the teams in ARL 96, let alone a sequel.

Anyway, enough with this subject, and lets move on and hope something is resolved for our friends in the UK.

Not long to go.

Speaking as one of these english friends, we know that there are going to be 12 teams that resemble ESL teams which is good i guess and therefore i hope they get GB in as well with proper names, which will be good for the game because if GB is in with correct names etc... the best 13 and 9 in the world - Paul Sculthorpe and Keiron Cunningham will be able to battle it out with their aussie counterparts.
