This thread doesn't apply to many people on here, just a few who still wear spandex, have long flowing hair and wear bandanas
Anyone here remember the old Transformers song? More than meets the eye? Yeah, all that stuff...and i never really got into that band, but do remember downloading that theme, it has to be one of the best ever for a cartoon......anyhow.....i stumbled across a midi on the net, When the Children Cry by White Lion....the same band who performed that theme.....
Not even a day later, i'm hooked and walk in to Utopia and pick up The Best Of album for these guys....and i gotta say, 80s metal/rock had a lot of cheese in it.....this band though, is free of any similar dairy products....but does suffer from some very predictable and good guy lyrics
Awesome tracks are Broken Heart - with a typical 80s film clip with concert footage and someone doing a karate kick towards the camera, Hungry, Lights and Thunder (albeit it sugary).....but their killer tracks are When the Children Cry and Lady of the Valley.....and i must say, Lady of the Valley was WAY ahead of its time....the sounds/riffs in that song reminded me off stuff put out only last year........
EG, Ron? Any one out there fans of White Lion?.....if you aren't i still recommed you download the Transformers theme
Finally, an 80s band i can enjoy, without the lameo get-up!
The 80s band with the coolest name logo EVOR! Yes, EVOR
