The Godfather. If you look close you can see the fishing lines attached to Sonny. The lines were attached to pieces of fake flesh etc. Members of the crew would manually pull these pieces of fake flesh off used the fishing line To simulate the terrible injuries that James Caan‘s character got when riddled with machine gun fire. Now that’s old school!

A few years ago the wife and I were doing the Universal Backlot Tour in LA. The guide pointed us to this huge concrete structure known as Sound Stage 12. He then went onto to describe the iconic movie scenes that were actually filmed inside. Two come to mind. When watching Scarface‘s final scene where Montana’s home gets raided by the swarms Of Soza‘s hired army and it’s Tony’s last stand. The whole interior shot of Tony’s mansion was constructed and filmed in side it. The second is the reception area of Jurassic Park made famous at the end of the film where the T Rex enters and starts attacking the remaining Velociraptors was also filmed inside it. Who would have thought looking at this concrete building. Just a disclaimer, the photo is a stock photo.
