my only complaint with the aussie squad is the inclusion of willie mason, but really that's nothing to cry over. it's good to see the panthers get rewarded for their efforts during the season

it's a shame hindy, lyon and vaealiki are injured, but let's hope cayless does parra proud

with malibu stacy out, will cayless be captain again?

i don't really expect cayless to get it. he hasn't played with the kiwis for ages, and his form has been down this year - i doubt he'll even start

No Jones and No Kearney you would think Cayless would be the logical tip however Wiki is the tip.

Their squad will look similar to this I think.

1. Tony
2. Faafili
3. Toopi
4. Vagana
5. Meli
6. Faumuina
7. Leuluai
8. Cayless
9. Betham
10. Cayless
11. Puletua
12. Wiki
13. Anderson

Reserves: Galuvao, Seu Seu, Lauititi, Latu

Not as strong without Vaealiki, Jones and Kearney.

I think this is a true reflection of the kind of season the eels had. Only one player to represent and he's on the opposing side.

Sure Lyon and Hindy probably would have been considered if fit. But they're not.

This is not simply a test but a Kangaroo tour! I'm deeply dissappointed that I waon't see any of our boys wearing the jersey.

This was also the best chance for anyone playing first grade to represent with so many of the familiar faces now unavailable. Penrith rightly took great advantage of the situation.

I'm not sure there were any other players apart from those mentioned above who honestly would warrant consideration in test selection.

i am certain that Hindmarsh and Lyon would have made the team if they were fit.

That's for sure.

One of the best things about watching the rep games is cheering all the Eels players.

Looks like we'll have to wait for next season.
