Collis, Gibbs join Tigers' casualty ward

Wests Tigers are facing an injury crisis ahead of Sunday's heritage round encounter with South Sydney, with centre Dean Collis ruled out with a broken arm.
Collis sustained the injury at training on Tuesday with the diagnosis confirmed today.
He will miss up to six weeks of the NRL season and joins centre partner Chris Lawrence on the sidelines.
Lawrence is out for four weeks with an ankle injury.
Forward Bryce Gibbs hurt his shoulder at the same Tuesday session and will also sit out the Rabbitohs encounter at the Sydney Football Stadium.
The match would have been his 100th for the club

jesus christ we can't take a trick. i was just telling my mate last night how we've had a good run with injuries so far this year.

for mine:

gallant to fullback
moltzen to center
galea to lock
payten to prop
bench stays the same

Yeh last year we had them all doing hamstrings at camp concord this year its broken bones. After having some really negative vibes at the start of the season, I actually was getting postive about our season, thats just gone out the window. With Farah a special for SOO we are in for a long month or so

On the bright side Marshall has had a good run so far with fitness and lack of injury.

This will be a make or break chance for Halatau- either he can make a fist of the centre role on w/end or someone will have to be promoted. Funny I'd have never thought centre would be a position WT were weak in but, at present, with all the injuries etc apart from Galea or Halatau I cant think of anyone in the NRL squad that could do the position. Ayshford? Could Ryan shift from wing to centre?

I would have liked to see someone like Akeripa (spelling ? ) get a run in the centres, but i can live with the team picked. Moltzen has a good footy brain and will handle centre well and if Gallant can put the last game behind him and run of Benji around the rucks we may just get a win on sunday. But i wasnt very confident of a win even with a full squad so i hope they prove me wrong.

Yep, I want to see Gallant back on the field and getting over that last match. We know he is better than that performance.

Please elaborate.

Well, everyone has been blabbering about how rubbish Collis is. Let's see how we go with a bloke who can't hold down a position, let alone a football. And with... well.... who knows what the other side will be.

Apparently it was Halatau who broke Collis' wrist. He has just cemented his starting spot for the next couple of weeks with a dominant performance at training - nice work!

Westie I seldom agree with you, but Collis is class and the constant bagging is way off the mark. I think we will miss him big time. In fact I think we are in for a long sunday

Collis broke his own wrist putting Sleau Ryan on his arse I believe. Probably taking out a lot of frustration.
