One major major positive ...

No it wasn't dinner after V festival last night (though Chopsy dinner was once again outstanding)

In the warm up in addition to the coaches and video a certain B Marshall was helping with things. I am pretty certain it was his left knee ... anyways was in trousers and polo but was jogging on it very comfortable ... passing the ball with twists etc ... kicking with his right foot (and kicking long) meaning he is putting 100% weight on the left knee/leg

I will bet London to a brick he is back within 3 weeks. ROund 11 my arse.

I did my PCL and (depending on the grade tear - which has never been specified) 4-5 wks would be about normal especially for an elite athlete with virtual daily treatment, physio rehab

Yeh I feel our Benji will be back sooner than latter. Head and Benji now that gives me hope.Although what would you give for a Bull Bailey in the front row

The only thing that kept you in the game was Holdsworth.

Agreed....he was as bad as JM.

There were some positives for me.

Cracking game from Halatau......

And Liam Fulton and Big Keef werent far behind.

Nothing at all from our backline......the dogs punched holes in it all day and they had the droppsies.

Apart from Beau Ryan and of course Halatau.

So Marshall will be back earlier than expected, wow, should mean he is re injured earlier than expected as well. I understand you hate Sheens, Morris et al with a passion but tell me why the love affair with a bloke who has done nothing since 2005. He takes 1/7 of our cap and has gained 3 Dally M points since R1 2006, hardly what you need from your 'marqee player'. Happy to be proved wrong but to date he's been nothing but a glorified touch player for us except a dozen games finishing off the season in 05, when the play the balls were that quick it was like he he was playing touch anyway.

Happy to cop plenty over this and I understand injuries happen but the untouchable superstar ride he has been getting is wearing thin for me, with the cap the way it is, he's stopping us from having a very good player on the park.

Jesus christ does this even need responding to ?

Well go on MOTH just try. His contribution since 05 has been on par with your contributions to this forum. Your a stats man (43% blah blah blah) well heres one for you, 1/7 of the total club salary cap for 3 Dally M points!

The salary cap is 4.2m now
By your maths Benji is on 600k is he ?
I'd pay him whatever we are for 10 yrs if he plays 5 games a year and gives us one more comp in 2012. He is that f**king good and has DONE it. Without him we don't win a comp in 05.
So instead of defending waste of space ku9ts like Morris, O'Hara, Galloway and the like who have done and will never do f**k all and having a go at the one in a generation player who is a freak have a go at the f**king moron coach and recruitment manager who are spunking 660k a season (220k a yr each) on a newcastle winger, a chain smoking 4m per hit up ex origin prop and a lumbering born again ginger lug who'd rather carry a f**king bible than a football

As for the club statement ST .. bollocks. Anyone that was there yday and was paying attention would have seen what i did. My tip is he'll be back for soufs

I am tired of people who down play what Benji means to our club.

He is the king, the messiah the best darn bloody thing to happen to our club, a fit Benji can do what no other human can do.

I hope he signs until 2056 and then coaches us.

We have seen a premiership in our lifetime due to this individual.

Appreciate it.

Spot on Bubbles
I first watched footy in 1980
In those yrs (so almost 30 now) i have seen 2 complete freaks
Benny Elias
Benji Marshall

Not to mention he has been brought back early many times previous to put bums on seats and win his desperate coach matches as his coach is fully aware his coaching methods are more likely exposed when Benji doesn't play

If we have Benji yday we win ... his footwork would have got us outside canterbury's up and in defence a thousand times

you blokes are kidding, even putting Marshall and Elias in the same breath is laughable. One is an absolute legend of the game who changed the way his role is played and the other hasnt put one full season together in his whole career.
