this from the parra site.

The Parramatta Eels will hold their first open training session of the 2004 season on Tuesday 20 January.

This will take place at 9:30am at Mounties, which is on the corner of Cabramatta and Humphries Rds at Mt Pritchard.

The ENTIRE 2004 squad will be in attendance, and players will be available for autographs and photos after the session.

yeah but 3/4 of the people there would be unemployed
HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS? :?: Do you have magic powers to predict this or what?

Maybe he's just counting all the guys that will be there trialling for Premier League and Jersey Flegg spots? There's bound to be some of them left "unemployed" after they finally cull/announce the squads...

Yes, I have magical powers

well not really but (and correct me if I am wrong)

- Most people work 9-5
- Most people would not be able to get a day off to goto an open training session

therefore it stands to reason that most people that would attend something at 9:30am on a Tuesday morning would be unemployed.

I may also stand to reason that ....

1. People who attend may in fact be on Annual Leave
2. People who attend aren't of Working Age... i.e Teenagers
3. People who attend may not work during the day...
4. People who attend may be blessed with what is commonly known as Flex-time
5. Those attendee's who are unemployed may actually be fitting such a thing into their jobsearch efforts...
6. People who attend may be small business owners who have taken time to attend.
7. People who attend may be working but AWOL or Allegedly Sick on that particular day..

there are many possibilities.. so don't alienate people who are EELS fans and take time out of their life to see the Team they adore... Who gives a Rats if people are un-employed and attend the Training Session for a couple of hours??? (waits for the responses)

Have you also heard of School Holidays?? how about uni break??..we are also in a Holiday period being the month of January and I know of some manufactures have virtually taken the whole month off!! certainly not by choice of the employees.
