I don't condone any of this rot, but to place on the News Ltd website as the lead sports story 'Bulldog Charged' an article about an event that took place nearly two years ago seems to be to be a bit disproportionate.

Bulldog Charged

Does innocent before being proven guilty apply anymore to league players?

Reni matua if i remember correctly is a part of the bra boys gang and i vaguely remember this brawl. Has nothing to do with rugby league.

Except it went to court today. Same as any court report it is reported on the day in court.

Lead story a bit much

^^ they are just a group of guys who surf at maroubra beach. They are not really a gang just people who surf, and they have got a bad name due to some unfortunate incidents.

Mate, the bra boys are a gang, just not in the traditional sense. Seriuosly if you f**k with them, you're gone. They're pretty hard for a bunch of skegs. I went to school with a lot of them.
Just ask Hinesy.

Ahhh so the Media fault he allegedly did this
Like it or not he is a player in the game that has gone through alot of problems in the media, so of course they are going to jump on this.

No it's not the media's fault and it's not the Bulldog fault... FFS Chris Walker punching the f**k out of a cop barely made the news and the Roosters weren't mentioned...

Yeah obviously they are going to jump on any small thing and something that doesn't involve the Dogs... So you want us to kiss the media's double standards??? It's obvious the NRL & Media will do anything to protect some teams (ROOSTERS)...

BTW don't get me wrong it's there job to report it... I'm pissed off because they splatted the Bulldogs everywhere in the article... It had nothing to do with us... If they mentioned us in the article once or something fine... But for the title to have the Bulldogs and the club mentioned in the article a few times is wrong... And obviously a stunt to get people to buy the newspaper...

The funny thing is it's a kick in the back to RL not only the Bulldogs and both didn't do a thing... The media that owes 50% of RL hates RL obviously!!!! A HUGE brawl at Canberra for the Brumbies game didn't make the news and it involved hundreds... If that was at a League game it would of been front page news for weeks...

Umm what ever happen to censorship?

"Insp Lee said the attacker responded "f**king pig, f**king merkin" after Const Allen told him he was a police officer."

And no the asterixs are not in the actual article, see for youself.

Someone will be in it for this little oversight.

Chook.

What a load of shit!
I don't think Chris Walker would be able to do as much damage as what alegedly happened with the Bulldogs player.
I think a bit of the heat was taken off the Roosters cause Walker was with the Qld squad at the time.

either way, News has every right to report it. If players are going to behave like they belong above the law they deserve all they get.

Lets not give the Rooster player asmuch bad publicity because he plays for the roosters... DOuble Standards... Roosters = Media & RL Darlings...

The funny thing is Rooster supporters complain about Morley being targetted... If he played for anyother NRL club he would be banned! THe Thug shouldn't be playing NRL football!!

It's not a Bulldog mattyer BTW... Nothing to do with the club. It's Reni's problem and the club shouldnt be dragged into this matter...

While he plays for the Bulldogs, he represents the team 24hrs a day wether he likes it or not.

Your conspiricy theories are getting old and boring.
Grow up.

EXACTLY THE SAME FOR WALKER... Why didn't the media say Roosters RL player? Just look at the Souths fan trouble... THat would be front page everyday for two weeks if it was the Bulldogs... Are Souths getting 500,000 thousand suspended fine and 4 point deduction, for the next incident? Why were the Roosters let off so lightly for the trouble of rd 3? they were asmuch involved... No trouble has been seen since then at Dog games...

He was in Jersey Flegg IF he was with the club at the time... It's his problem not the clubs.

The reason the Bulldogs may seem to get extra attention is due to the number of times they have already caused trouble.

The Bulldogs have a bad name. It will take a very long time for everyone to forget what has happened of late.

The Bulldogs are not the victims here.. They are just feeling the repercussions of a bad culture from the past.

It is opportunistic journalism, but what do you expect from the Telecrap's media?

Unfortunately, like it or not, it has a lot to do with the Bulldogs. The NRL put a good behaviour bond over their player's heads, after they recently escaped with murder, but seeing as this incident happened 2 years ago, I dont thing the 500,000 is in jeopardy.

Give them time, Im sure the Doggies will come up with something..... #-o

News Limited Papers hate the Roosters. If anything they would be harsher on walker than they should be. That incident got blanket coverage this incident hasn't had much reportage at all. It shouldn't either because he's not a high proflie player.
