Mexico rugby league started 4 team comp this month, i know we should let them crawl before they walk but chance for matches v usa, canada and jamacia.

Domestic development is far more important for new countries than one-off international matches.

That depends really. Internationals can be used as a strong format the develop interest in the domestic scene, playing off a "represent your country" angle. It all depends on strategy and how it is implemented.

Agreed. Every cent is precious especially when you're just starting out.

Sure, if Mexico are lucky enough to get a visit from a touring North American side, it would be great for them, as it would be if BARLA or one of those sides were to tour Africa.

But, never mind how lopsided the scores would be, it would be an enormous expense and waste of money. Best to focus on building a solid domestic scene rather than rushing to play a one-off international.
