If we're still going to release Witt,Dykes and if Smith signs with Manly well what are our options then???? the only 3 players that are capable of playing half back in first grade are Thurston, Hohia and Oliver!

I was relieved that Orford stayed in Melbourne. I think there is no other option now then to keep Witt and Tim Smith. OLAY!!!!!!!!!

If all the rumours were true:
- Orford stays with Melbourne
- Tim Smith signs with Manly
- Witt to Brisbane
- Dykes back to Cronulla
- Thorman back to england
We could bring Kusto back and have Kusto and Wags as our halves for season '05 :alcho:

Not all the rumours would ever have been true, however had Parra snared Orford then then three of the others quite possibly would have been true now that Parra.

Now, that Orford is off the market there is no way BOTH Witt and Dykes will be released but I can see one of them going.

If Parra re-sign Tim Smith I'd also expect to see Thorman on a plane back to London but if Smith goes away then Thorman won't

I think what will happen is Thorman will decide to go. I can't see him wanting to stick around in Australia and play premier league when he can earn 5 - 10 times as much playing in a top class competition in the UK. Why waste away his career if Smith doesn't see him as a first grade priority.

No wonder Brian Smith seems so confident in this year's recruitments
