Why not trade him? Surely they could have gotten an offer, even a late rounder. Wait until after the deadline and then just release him? Must be something behind the scenes we don’t know.

Not really - he suffered only 3 injuries since 2019.

He struggled at times with our defensive scheme, but he is a solid player.

It is a long travel across to the west coast from Miami I did it this year back to Sydney.

So Home ground and travel factor should help 49ers.
