Settle down champ.

Because i agree with Gronk i somehow condone drink driving, sure ok.

No i don't agree with what she has done at all.

I agree with Gronk that some Wanderers supporters need to take responsibility for their actions and stop blaming the police or security at the ground for doing their job

Think about this for a second, if the Wanderers fans don't carry on like dickheads she has nothing to write about.

It's all about taking accountability
, something you and your RBB mates know nothing about.

For the record, i have bagged news ltd many at time when they write rubbish about Parra.

Resorting to name calling, your true colours are coming out now, you're a true Wanderers fan.
:thumn Well said... but this point just never seems to sink in.

Neither you nor Bart have answered why the 100 or so ESFC who invaded the pitch after last seasons ESFC winning goal have not been handed 5 year bans. You never will either.
Who gives a shit though? Why do Gronk or I have to answer that? Have you written to the A-League about that, since you clearly can't let go of some sort of inter-club rivalry/siege mentality about it?

Just because i bag them doesn't mean i agree with Wilson releasing the names of the suspended fans.

How is implying your part of the RBB name calling? don't be so sensitive.

My kids aren't into soccer so i have no need to take them, they prefer cricket in the summer.

Wilson and Jones are friggin idiots for even mentioning what happened in Paris in relation to her article.

Fair enough.
No problems then.

So the RBB are jumping on the "protest somethng by withdrawing support from their own team" bandwagon too?

http://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/...nd-shaming-of-supporters-20151124-gl72xr.html

That's really going to force the FFA's hand, turning up and then perhaps 2,000 of you walking out at halftime - as if they'd care once you're in the gate and contributing to the crowd figures?

The FFA is sensibly "reserving its right to have "strong banning processes and robust security planning" in order to keep football's "true fans" safe." For the code's sake, these attempts at justification of acts of thuggery and misbehaviours of the minority just have to stop.

letter to members from ceo

Dear Wanderers Family,

The past few days have been a major disappointment in terms of the negative attention on our Club, Members and fans.

As a Club we stand by the fact that anyone who has caused an offence, been involved in anti-social behaviour or ignited a flare at a match (in or outside the venue) has no place in our game, at our stadium or our Club – it is clear that this behaviour brings negative public attention to not just our Club but to Western Sydney as our home and football in general.

Notwithstanding this - we strongly oppose our Members being described in derogatory terms, particularly those who represent themselves at our matches with pride, integrity and hold the positive values that we represent in Western Sydney.

As you would know, we have been involved in ongoing dialogue for the last seven months with a number of involved parties including the venue, FFA, NSW Police, other security stakeholders and our active supporter members. We focus a significant amount of time and resourcing on this dialogue and it is something we take very seriously.

Our Club has invested in a number of Supporter Marshalls who are the liaison between fans, police, security and the stadium at home and most away matches. These Marshalls have proved very successful to date.

Next week we will meet with the new Assistant Police Commissioner Kyle Stewart to directly engage in a dialogue about how to create a more harmonious working relationship with our Members and NSW Police, many of whom are in fact Wanderers fans. We call for the support of all of our fans in this matter.

While there are some so-called “fans” who have not represented the Club in the right way – and will not be welcomed or accepted by the Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club - we will always advocate for the rights of our Members (in both public and private forums) who are exceptional in both their behaviour and their passion for this Club and who have been branded unfairly in a negative manner.

This includes Members who feel they are unjustly banned. Let’s be clear – this is a serious subject and one that cannot be misrepresented or misinterpreted. If you do something that does not comply with the term of entry to any venue or the laws of this country, we will not support you. However, within the parameters of the system that is in place at FFA, if you feel you have been wrongly banned and have compelling evidence to support your claim please contact our office at
info@wswanderersfc.com.au and bring this evidence forward and we will advocate on your behalf to the FFA.

We ask that all fans refrain from targeting individuals in response to these issues and work together to achieve a fair outcome for all.

Wanderland is and always will be a safe and secure place for our Members and fans. We have the best fans in the league - we are one club made up of a rich tapestry of cultures, nationalities and backgrounds that unite as one for our team and the sport we love.

Gronk, do you still think the Wanderers haven't taken responsibility for the boneheads who deserve bans? They have repeated this line time and time again, but this issue now goes far beyond that. It is the lack of accountability from the FFA regarding an appeals process for wrongly implemented bans, and the fact that someone has ignored privacy issues regarding these bans, and allowed them to be published in a major newspaper. Wrong photos, photos of minors, wrong accusations of demeanours.
The repeat drink driver got it horribly wrong. Her performance last night on Sky News was nothing short of disgraceful. Even League journalist Andrew Webster was openly questioning her motives and contending her claims.
She was making shit up that just couldn't be substantiated.
Sheilas, Mediterranean_Decendants and twinkies. Some things will never change.

Nice one. Now all the tools that call them supporters now need to pull their heads in and behave. You reckon they can do that or will they cause a fuss in Gosford ?

Everyone is watching ....

Cheers Rebecca.

What do you expect ? That after the club issues a press release that we all pretend that the problem is solved ?

The proof of the pudding Suity. A large chunk of your supporters need to an attitude shift. The biggest hurdle in achieving that IMO is the the gen Y merkins who have a problem with authority.

If It's all good now then they will behave, have no derogatory banners, smuggle no flares and not cause a fuss.

Am I wrong ?

The victim mentality with soccer supporters is f**king hilarious.

Apparently the media only attacks the A-League, there is never any negative stories about the NRL.........
