Karacic has been out of his depth IMO. Spent first 20 just hit and hoping to a stationary Maclaren.

Benefit of doubt - Karacic (needs to “attack” less, can’t tell if it’s bad options or bad passing though), Mooy (clearly lack of game time has hurt, the body isn’t quite doing what the head wants to)
Useless - Irvine (other than being offside has he been out there?), Leckie (never filled potential, won’t start now, tries but that trying without skill is counterproductive to how we need to play) Leckie has been bad but his badness at least has some excuse as he covers from the extra uselessness of Maclaren (zero awareness, zero skill & zero effort plus we use him in a style unsuited for him anyway and when he does actually get the ball he pushes it which is not the style the rest of the team are playing)

Given how we play, I have no idea why we never pushed Giannou as a long term option. Boyle running off Giannou with his back to goal would be killer.
But no we want to play the upfield control game, use slow midget Maclaren as a long point man and when we do get the ball high Leckie or Maclaren’s job is to push uncontrolled passes to open up counterattacks
