You would've all heard by now - Cameron Smith is out for a little bit (2-4 weeks, was it?) with a shoulder injury...

I reckon this is it - his body is FINALLY catching up with him, which means that he'll retire at the end of this year.

My tip - he'll tell his team-mates just before the qualifying final (to get into the GF), and then he'll tell the media the week leading into the GF. Then the refs will ensure that he does not lose...

Anyway, apart from my cynicism, this is good news, except for the fact that he'll be signed to Channel 9 within the week...

Both.

I can only guess that his tackling technique is immaculate, as he must get through so many tackles against big boppers!

Both. As much as I dislike the guy for being a Storm flagship player and QLD mainstay and still finding a way to complain at refs constantly for 'harsh treatment' while being showered in gold coins and premiership rings and...i lost my point..

He was smart to adjust his game in his 30s, changing his defensive style etc, and Bellamy was smart enough to structure teams around the physical protection of him. The best and most consistent game manager I've ever seen.. they win just by standing him around the ball

I always knew he was smart but that night at Shark Park proved to me he was a genius.
When he got sent to the bin, in the time he walked from the centre of the field to the sideline he had worked out a stage play that is now folklore
