Minns is a massive disappointment. There was a parliamentary enquiry into the rushed legislation after the eastern suburbs graffiti and dural caravan explosives thing. He used that momentum to rush news laws / tighten existing before the investigations were even complete. The findings of the investigations were in fact that the graffiti was NOT from local Sydney antisemitism, it was a product of Iran paying local criminal gangs to cause disruption. The caravan thing was some Sydney criminal gang just wanting to tie up police resources. That’s a bit hush hush.

He didn’t stop after that. As you say, police have been given wide powers to wind up and move on public gatherings which are seen anti-democratic.

There is certainly a perception out there that he is being influenced by a well resourced and vocal lobby.

I assure you that unions and nurses march by my office window monthly on their way to Macquarie Street. They don’t have any problem in getting permits. It does seem that there is one group is forced to continually front NSW Supreme Court bonking heads with Minns, seeking the same right to march.

And Albo n co (LNP included) did something similar rushing through rubbish federal laws. Are they gonna throw their laws at Grace Tame for stirring up shit? No, they made laws such that they can pick and choose who to put in jail.

I'm sure that line will be trotted out, but it's not about that in the slightest. It's about the head of state of a country that is committing the genocide these folk have been protesting visiting our shores.

It is probably the case that a good few of these police officers had to respond during the Bondi atrocity and saw dead children. They would have had it up to their necks with these antisemitic arseholes.
