If this type of stabbing happened in Mossman I imagine it gets LOT more media coverage and all sorts of enquiries... 3 people 'randomly' stabbed in Merrylands and barely gets a mention. Are they less important?

Merrylands makes the news all the time! So much crime there and Guildford and Granville these days.

Stabby dude yesterday was a mental health escapee who stopped taking their meds. So indeed random, and very sad for all impacted.

Or they'll try to dig information as to whether this person was born outside of Australia.

Yep, I'm also familiar with what I presume is the same place. Ten days at large is quite a long time... unfortunately too long 😢
They wouldn't have been looking too hard. Unless he was an involuntary admission, and even then, he hadn't committed a crime yet so the LHD would have been trying to phone him and maybe check on his known place of residence, but that's about it.

Quite sad and scary as the place he escaped from is a place I'm quite familiar with. I dont know how he escaped.

If you worked there you might know Gloria Jessop/ Forster/ Williams or sorry cant remember 3rd hubbies surname.
Long retired, still going strong (her mother lived to 99)
A compassionate and caring woman who did a LOT to change the culture in that and other institutions.

She sounds like a good'un. Those places can be very tough, and need a good culture for the sake of everyone involved.

I didn't work there, but had reason to visit semi-regularly for work circa 25 years ago.

If its the same place in Western Sydney, I assume she is a worker. However, I was a patient years ago only short term.

Yep there. Ok no worries. She was the head honcho there for years n years so not there in a direct treatment capacity. I hope you were treated well in there. Cheers.

I mightve dealt with her but cant exactly remember, maybe she's in another area. Where I was there wasnt many patients, some there for a long time, others for a short time, maybe 1-2 nights or longer.

Thanks mate, appreciate it. They did for the time I was there. It was quite nervous at the start with the anxiety, ot used to be in a different surroundings and people with different issues but I came through well. The only thing I was scared about was letting my family down but they were so supportive which helped me a lot.

Go Ukraine! With an assist by... Elon Musk?

"Looks like the steps we took to stop the unauthorised use of Starlink by Russia have worked," Mr Musk wrote on social media earlier this month. "Let us know if more needs to be done."

Well, the move into renewable is so cheap, when will it end, who benefits as there is no on demand power availability and certainly it’s not looking cost effective.

These renewable zealots are costing a fortune with no cost saving and the chance of brownouts. Crazy for such a small emitter with massive resources. Perhaps they should do more to protest in China, India etc, they increase more in what 4 days that any cuts we can achieve on less than 1% .
