I was talking to someone today who knows about these things and they said that logistics in the Sydney area alone have risen 37% in the last few weeks and we should see our retailers act accordingly on that by the end of the week.

I haven't seen any pass through yet, usually what happens when fuel prices spike is we'll see carriers and other heavily affected companies introduce "fuel levies" on top of their rates. I'm regional, so fuel costs are compounded somewhat as opposed to metro given distances travelled.

They're pretty quick usually to add them, but nothing yet. Mind you I'd have to check but I'm fairly certain I'm still being charged a fuel levy by a coupla companies from the last time fuel spiked ( 2022 )
