This is hilarious, and effects my area.

The Libs only have 2 sitting councillors out of 12, but had picked candidates in all wards and placards in front yards etc... just forgot to get the nomination forms in first

Ive never grasped why local councils should play on party lines anyway. Their areas of responsibility should be beyond that shit. Its only the last decade (less than) that they started promoting themselves aling party lines.

Where did i say policies are irrelevant?

Im saying vote for people who give a shit about local matters and are not gonna be driven by some bigger party oriented agendas. To me thats what local govt should be.

I think anyone who wants to promote themselves as party oriented may well have their mind on things other than local matters.
