Trump pardoned Kushner's ( his daughters Hubby ) Father.

Kushner is the father of Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and a wealthy real estate executive who pleaded guilty years ago to tax evasion and making illegal campaign donations. Trump and the elder Kushner knew each other from real estate circles and their children were married in 2009.

Prosecutors allege that after Kushner discovered that his brother-in-law was cooperating with authorities, he hatched a revenge and intimidation scheme. They say he hired a prostitute to lure his brother-in-law, then arranged to have a secret recording of the encounter in a New Jersey motel room sent to his own sister, the man’s wife.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has called it “one of the most loathsome, disgusting crimes” he ever prosecuted as U.S. attorney.

Why is this somehow not at the same level?
Did he pardon him for 10 years of stuff he "may or may not have done"?

Does that really matter all that much?

What it does is ensure the GOP can't just keep going on trying to prosecute him in place of not being able to f**k Joe.

Granted it also protects him from normal prosecution, but really, does Hunter get prosecuted at all if not for the GOP going hell for leather after Joe and failing?

And it's not totally without precedent, Nixon was pardoned by Ford despite no charges having been laid or presented, and having resigned to avoid impeachment, a conviction from which is beyond the Presidents power to pardon.

Has anyone actually done this at all in the last 4 decades...? But let's blame "woke" for something, anything that's no longer happening!

Do you mean that I can’t walk around drunk at a Christmas party holding a weed above a woman and kissing her without her consent? The world has gone f**king mad ! Bah humbug.

There has been some interesting decisions since the US election by Australia re: Israel. It’s like we have consciously gone our own way.

Whats everyone thoughts on the Commbank slugging customers $3 for a cash withdrawal at a bank branch.

I am not with Commbank btw.

Its been clear for a while the banks are weeding out the branches and basically encouraging an App based customer service so your stuck talking to a robot when you need to ask Q & A for issues. To avoid customers going to the branch.

Its another sign that were moving that little closer to a cashless society..

I noticed in parts of Europe this year from 12 months earlier when i was there last year how more card orientated it is now over there.

You take some foreign cash over with you and you struggle to use it anywhere because most places only take card now.

I think these days the media jump on anything to have a rant.

Hardly anyone uses cash plus apparently only 10% of CBA customers have a "smart access" account. Even then there are many exemptions like U18s or peeps on welfare or seniors.

Their website even gives tips on how to avoid fees if you have this type of account.

Not a problem for me. I haven't used cash for close to 15 years, apart from overseas travel. I get the concerns about personal security, but at this point I feel like we are already being observed and the horse has bolted.
