And this where we'll just have to agree to disagree Lingard.
You say the intangibles aren't important but results are.
I just happen to think the intangibles ARE very important if this club is to get back on track and do it consistently, year after year.
I'm f**king ropable at the win/loss situation atm. It kills me to see the way we are playing at times.
But I refuse to call for Kearney's immediate sacking now. I've never put him on a pedestal, how could I? His first grade coaching record is appalling at this time. But I know what he's trying to do and it is my personal opinion that we, as a club, would go backwards more if we were to get rid of him now.
I'll repeat what I've said before. If we are still coming stone motherless this time next year, we should look elsewhere. I just don't believe we will be.

Suity

Isnt that what the 'experts' were telling us last year.

Sorry, Suitman; I did NOT say the intangibles aren`t important. I said they aren`t visible. We can all see the win/loss ratio, but we can`t 'see' the culture or the structures or the five-year plan. My point is that you can`t use these things as evidence, because you are only guessing. You said yourself that you don`t know why you think Kearney will turn things around - you just 'have a feeling' he will. No evidence to substantiate that at all, and yet you`re happy to knock anyone who uses the only real available evidence that we have (the win/loss record) to support their opinion that Kearney should be sacked. (I actually think there is evidence that the players have no confidence in him, but that isn`t admissable evidence because there`s no proof).
And PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell us:
1. What is Kearney trying to do?
and 2. How do you know? (I think you don`t know. I think you`re just guessing.)

And that, my friend, is the whole point. That is what all of us stupid merkins and death-riders are afraid of. IF we are coming last this time next year, it will be TOO LATE! It will have done so much damage to this club and to the confidence of the players, that it might take a very long time to repair. We have evidence that the team is NOT getting better under Kearney; and the only 'evidence' that things will turn around is 'a feeling' or a criticism of anyone calling for Kearney`s head. (We are all stupid or simpletons, aren`t we?) And do you honestly believe that Stephen bloody Kearney is the only guy who can create a 'structure' or implement a plan? Give us a break. I say sack him now, and get someone like Jason Taylor to inspire the 'lads' to greater heights.

Nothing to see here -the same old defenders of 3P continue to defend 3P.

Do I believe Kearney should be sacked? Not yet. I've always said a coach should be given a MINIMUM of three years to prove their worth. But it's rare for a side to be as woeful as Parramatta has been over the past 18 months and in the salary cap era it is completely unacceptable.

I actually see potential in this side, but there is no excuse to be 2-10 - even with a young side.

Talk of Daniel Anderson is irrelevant - we know his sacking had nothing to do with results - all we need to worry about now is the future. Kearney must be given the rest of the year and the rest of the year only to show there is a path the side is following. If not, bye bye.

Nothing you say there makes any sense at all.

Maybe we should bring back John Simon.

If only we had byes every week. We'd actually have a chance of not only avoiding the spoon but possibly play finals footy.

More ex-Eels. Just what we need at the club.

I'm starting to think former President's Cup captain Brad Arthur might be the problem.
