Ok chaps, now the footy's out of the way we can finally get to grips with the rather serious business of investigating whether or not our beloved team song's lyrics contain a grammatical error.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't "Name of the Sharks fit you" be corrected to "Name of the Sharks fitS you"? The fitting adjective patently refers to the noun denoting nomenclature, which in this instance is singular, not plural, is it not? Altenatively, another possible correction could be "NameS of the Sharks fit you", but this even more awkward and, besides which, such syntax also makes no sense when taken in the context of the entire sentence.
I must confess this conundrum has irked me for many years.
Thank you for your kind attention.
