25% is too high and would result in too many people leaving Australia.Makes me recall the "Joe (Bjelke Petersen) for Prime Minister" campaign in 1985 which pushed for a 25% flat tax for everybody. Joe lost the campaign. Flat tax favors the rich and hits the lower paid.
At 15% you get to keep 85% of your earnings and don't have to hire accounts to do your tax returns. The vast majority of voters would support this but unfortunately, the rich minority would spend millions in adds to try and defeat such a move.
