What an absolute imbecile.

He dodges a rape charge in the US while pretending to be an NFL player. Instead of learning his lesson and mending his ways, gets done again, and this time is found guilty.

He may have been a handy footballer, but FMD he'd be lucky to have 2 brain cells floating around in his head. And any sympathy I may have had for him disappeared when his phone call with Pearce was played back. What an absolute turd of a human.

Gold medal for stupidity and what’s the common thread ? There’s always booze involved. Only 5% of criminal appeals get up. No winners here.

Sympathy for the victim and what she has gone through and will have to go through in the future. Really proud of her courage for coming forward and sticking at it. A hero in that regard. I hope Hayne one day takes responsibility.

He will appeal both conviction and severity for sure which will further inflict harm on the victim in the process.

He’s not heading for a pleasant experience by any stretch but he wont exactly be doing it tough as a minimum security inmate in protective custody with other sex offenders and vulnerable inmates. He has the financial means to buy ‘friendship’ to take care of him.

Hope he likes green, oh and it’s compulsory for sentenced inmates to work or undertake programs like sex offender programs or he might not make parole in 3yrs 8m.

That’s non-parole. Full sentence 5 years 9 months.
Yeah mate...it's like when we are told players are being fined large amounts for breaches but that half the fine is suspended...Non parole in my opinion is the true sentence...I'm only interested in how much time criminals spend behind bars...

As a sex offender he will have to earn his parole at 3yr8m so the greater sentence isn’t impossible but these guys usually do all the ‘right things’ to make parole.

Apparently we escaped by the skin of our teeth.

Yeah man, I remember hearing that Mary was absolutely adamant that he was the answer to our problems.
He basically begged the board to let him sign him (to which the weak AF board signed off on)
As you said, narrow escape!
