I think they got a few of the handicaps wrong but no one wants to see backmarkers catch the field in the first 20m. What everyone wants to see is the women’s final with a runner coming off the full distance to win and you can throw a blanket over the field at the finish

Historically the REDS and WHITES don't do well in the gift or any other semi-pro gift held in regional AU.

I agree with you that the ladies final was perfect, but this style of "foot racing" goes back to the mid 1800s and whilst it might suck that GG didn't get his win, history was against him.
