If blues teams were picked on form, talent, or past record (any of those or all) Lewis would be a shoe in. But they're not and he won't be mentioned by the selectors. I'd have Keary, de Bellin and Vaughn, but even with new selectors, incumbents like Pearce, Jackson and Woods will probably be ahead of them.

I like your team. Despite his antics, I'd say Ferguson over Roberts (in better form, and has a better record), Cleary won't make it unless 100% fit and playing out of his skin (for his protection, not because he isn't a great talent) so that probably means Pearce, Graham will probably (stupidly) be off the bench due to his versatility (so Jackson or Frizell starting), Jake Turbo might start also, and I hope Vaughn gets the last bench spot.

Not sure we have a back up hooker. I doubt Brailey would be considered so early in his career. They'd go back to Wallace if needed and Penrith are going well (he still might make it over Peats).

I hope Moylan is fit enough and in form so that they might consider him as a utility, but even if he is in form it is unlikely.

Thanks, mate.

Yes, Vaughan would be great. I forgot about him!

That would shift Klemmer to the bench, where I think he’s better anyway. I would then drop Jackson to 18th man...

Yep. I’m hopeful that Freddy will be willing to go against the grain.

I don’t know what his opinion of Aaron Woods is... Hopefully he does NOT get picked...

I'm not sure what people see in Cordner. Runs the same line all game every game. He's not really that good at breaking tackles and doesn't have much of an offload. Sure he goes hard but that's about it. He's kind of similar to Gavin Cooper but even then Gavin has a bit more to his game.

You need a captain who will actually talk up the game as well.Gal was willing to promote the game and throw out the comments that got the QLD fans offside but they lapped it up and bought the tickets. Cordner last year was so boring and wooden in his refusal to "give the other team ammo" that I'm shocked the marketing team didn't beg somebody to stand up and sell the game.

Thats a good point you need a player hated by the other if he is loved by your own state even better.

Wally Lewis had both covered
