Sterlo just announced on the Footy Show that Joel Monaghan has signed with the Rorters.

HOW can they possibly accommodate all this talent under their cap?

It's a dead-set joke.

well
the salary cap auditor is a rooster
and no one can accuse them of anything in the media because theyve got a litigation lawyer as their deputy chairman
they have the head of channel 9 on the board
and their 'director of football' gets paid by fairfax

i think news ltd should do some digging

news is not allowed to dig............or the football director will swear and moan at his next press conference and accuse them of being " unfair"

they have offloaded quite a few for next year including fittler, hodges, hegarty, cusack (i think)

that would give them bit of room under the cap, i should think. especially freddy

they reason they win is becasue they are coached well and play footy with focus, discipline, teamwork and desire.

i still can't stand them but that's just that

What about all the REP players in their ranks though SoL?

Quite often, when a bloke makes Rep footy, he (quite rightly) earns a contract upgrade.

How many rep players are there now, even forgetting the blokes you have mentioned?

Fitzgibbon
Wing
Mini
Finch
Morley
Hindmarsh?

Any I have forgotten?

In any case, there's $2m just there alone.

the thing is, the roosters should need to upgrade contracts for players that have become SOO class, this is what is killing StGeorge but and to a lesser degree the Dogs but the roosters keep buying.
Some very creative accounting especially with the added burdon of the cost of living in the eastern suburbs that should be taken into account by any new employee thinking about moving there.

Yes
These are their current or recent rep players:

Adrian Morley, Anthony Minichiello, Brad Fittler, Brett Finch, Chris Flannery, Chris Walker, Craig Fitzgibbon, Craig Wing, Jason Cayless, Justin Hodges, Luke Ricketson, Michael Crocker,Shannon Hegarty

Out of which you can make a nice starting 13 that would be worth a fortune:

1. Minichiello
2. Walker
3. Hodges
4. Wing
5. Hegarty
6. Fittler
7. Finch

13. Ricketson
12. Flannery
11. Fitzgibbon
10. Cayless
9. Crocker
8. Morley

Not to mention other in demand players being in the squad like Phillips and Cross, and players they keep talking up like Tupou and other young blokes. And I heard Gould last talking up the fact that their Flegg side is undefeated - is it any wonder, they steal juniors from the other clubs and pay them a ridiculous amount for what kids should earn.

So again, it begs the question...How is THAT squad, even without Fittler, Hodges, Hegarty, worth less than $3.25M????

I know it costs about $30 per night so about $210 per week as long as you are willing to put up with 8 other blokes in the same dorm room snoring.

I think it is more likely they are setup with a nice pad overlooking Tamarama beach for the grand sum of $50 per week or some similar dodgy deal.
