Following in the footsteps of the great, the legendary Bob Marley.

As I sit and type these words, the dreadlocks are going in.

Perfect for the road trip garbs!
Low maintenance & timelessly cool.
Your curls might pull a few conversations back here in oz, but the Dreads will pull merkin out of the woodwork for you amongst backpackers on the gringo highway.

excellent decision & I will expect photos(the good road trip ones) for this public show of support.

Well personally, I am not a fan of hair. Each to their own though. I hope we see them being proudly shown off on Saturday night.

have you ever got into katchafire? and if so what's your opinion?

I have Catch a Fire deluxe edition... with all the original Jamaican remixes. I probably prefer Burnin' out of the Wailers early work, but anything Marley is awesome.

i was refering to the NZ regge band - Katchafire.

Obviously not in the same league as Marley. some people think they are amazing others think that it's trash and nothing but a Marley rip-off.

so far i'm undecided.

I was on an island called Lamu off the coast of Kenya for Bob Marley's birthday a few years ago. This is where my appreciation for reggae evolved on that exact night.
mirra , beer and ganja along with the bizaare collision of Marley's music and Muslim Prayers echoing out across the islands PA systems.

Then we killed a chicken.

Ahhh. Well then... never heard of them, but I might give them a listen.

Obviously with a name like that they're heavily influenced by the great man though... ;-)
