I hope the mods don't think I'm trying to start a spaming thread here.
I was just sitting here wondering what other chat communities you are a member of, or read,or would recommend to others here interested in joining or just browsing around the message boards?
I have the next 6 weeks off from work dutiesand was hoping to get active in some other sporting and non-sporting chat communities on the internet.
Web addresses and direct linkswould be appreciated. No need to reveal usernames that you useat other forums I'd imagine.
Thanks.

Navigator: you're more than welcomed to talk about other forums and promote them. We dont mind one bit.

There might a few lingering in the 'Legends Links' section in the side bar to your left.

There was another thread not long ago (but before the emergence of KRL) where everyone posted their My Groups page to show the forums they were members of. I can't find it but maybe someone else can.

Seriously though Navigator, one of the sites that I would spend a lot more time at if I had a lot more time is the totalrl.com site. It is the english equivalent of grandstand i suppose.

http://www.fans-forum.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/forums.cgi?forum=1

Legends is the place for serious discussion on all sports and all subjects, with a bias towards RL.

TFS site is where you can talk for hours about Ryan Girdlers looks and give out and cop all the abuse you can handle.

WORL is where Saints supporters go to whinge.

Grandstand has some great specialist rooms. I spend a lot of time in the American room.

Roopy, dont forget at TFS you can also take up a whole thread with everyone writing their favourite teams in bright colours with massive fonts saying they will win and everyone else will lose. I still love it though.

I mostly just hang out with the geeks at www.theonering.org nowadays - anyone nerdy enough to make me look cool in comparison has to be ok :p

used to spend a bit of time at www.weststigers.com.au but they're all wankers and I haven't bothered re-registering since they re-did the site.

occasionally post at www.xiola.org and other music sites but i tend to be more of a lurker in non-footy related forums

Only just started getting into it Willow. Marine biology/life is my main interest.I'm yet to take a deep-sea, but am looking forward to a trip to North Qld later on in the year for my maiden one. Can hardly wait.
I have a good friend who is a veteran and has been trying to get me into it for a while now. I guess I just crumbled.
Are you a diver?

This is freaky!
Just this past weekend I made friends with a guy who's a S.C.U.B.Ainstructor from New Zealand. I never knew that the word actually stood for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus

Atilla, I've gone from diving every week to just once amonth. The gear is the shop getting fixed after a reg blew and Iwentfroma nearfull tank to zero in 30 seconds...that was my 100th dive and it was good way to celebrate it..lol.
We had to do a bit of buddy breathing to get me back. No sweat really and all part of the deal imo. Cant underestimate the importance of practicing those skills.

Mainly we dive at the Seaway on the Gold Coast which is very relaxed and full of all sorts of sea life. Every time we go there we see something different.

But I learned in Sydney diving in the Port Hacking at Lilli Pilli, Little Bay and Kurnell plus a few others. The north shore has some good spots. I used to like going to Shelly Beach.
Where are you based? If youre anywhere near GC let me know... we're always looking for an excuse to get wet.

The best diving I've seen is in Vanuatu if you ever get a chance to go there, dont knock it back.

btw, thats a very handy forum. Thanks for posting it. :)

Apologies to TFS people - I was being a little harsh in my assessment.

The Footy Show site is great for fun type threads related to footy and life, and a few serious footy threads as well.

I'm in Adelaide at present Willow on work relatedduties. Should be back home in Qld around mid-late April I'm now guessing.
I livenot too far from Brisbane Airport at Wavell Heights. It's a bit of a hike from the GC butI appreciate the offer. I see your email shows under your username, so I'll definitely take you up on that offer the next time I'm in the Coast. Thanks for the offer.
